Medical English Course

Course Type: Group Tuition Plus, One-to-One
Medical English courses combine working in a small group of a maximum of 5 students in the mornings to develop General English speaking and listening skills with 1-to-1 Medical English classes in the afternoons. The Medical English lessons will focus on your specific, individual needs, taking in to account your specific line of work.
Medical English courses are suitable for doctors, nurses, dentists, students of medicine and other professionals working in the medical sector.
You will be emailed a 'Needs Analysis' form to complete before the start of your course. During your first 1-to-1 lesson you and your teacher will put together a study plan for your course. We encourage you to be active in the preparation and content of your course.
During your Medical English course you can expect to:
- improve general and social English language skills
- develop specific vocabulary and expressions for English used in the medical sector
- use English for negotiating, meetings and telephoning
- give presentations in English
- raise awareness of intercultural issues and ‘international English’
Medical English courses are available as Group Tuition Plus courses for 20, 25 or 30 hours per week. This means: 15 or 20 hours of General English in small group + 5, 10 or 15 hours of one-to-one Medical English tuition. Or as a One-to-One course for the number of hours you require.
All courses include a weekly excursion.
