English course location

English courses at ECS Scotland take place just off Charlotte Square, right in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town.   Our English language training centre is only a few minutes walk from Princes Street, Princes Street Gardens, Lothian Road, St. Andrews Square and Waverley Train Station.  Numerous buses from all parts of the town stop within easy reach of the school.  The area is full of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants cinemas and tourist attractions.

The 18th century building has been renovated and converted to provide a calm, comfortable and quiet learning environment over 3 floors.  There is also a spacious library/study room and a coffee room/ relaxation area.  As an A-Listed property, many of the original features are maintained in the building.

The Old and New Town areas have UNESCO World Heritage Site protection which together with the sea and hills outside the city combine to give Edinburgh a unique character. Home of the Scottish Parliament, festivals, concerts and exhibitions - Edinburgh is a vibrant cosmopolitan city, a perfect place to learn English.

Scotland is a small and welcoming English-speaking country. It has beautiful scenery and a long and colourful history of its own, in addition to a distinctive culture and traditions. Scottish people are known all over the world for their warmth and hospitality.

As well as providing a further language learning opportunity, our weekly excursions allow students to experience the unique culture and natural beauty of Scotland.
