Principal’s Post - 20 years of English in Edinburgh

20 years of providing English courses in Edinburgh

A Happy New Year from ECS Scotland to all students and staff.

2015 is an important year for us, as we celebrate our 20th birthday.  For 20 years, ECS Scotland has been providing English language courses for professional adults from all over the world. Over that time we have grown from a seed to a sapling and we are now a full-grown tree

Over the 20 years we have moved premises and developed new courses in response to our growing numbers and changing needs of our clients.  At the same time we have also remained true to our basic philosophy:  to focus on our clients as individuals and give them as much opportunity as possible to communicate and express themselves effectively in English.  This we believe is the key to successful language learning.

To celebrate our 20th birthday, we are offering clients a 20% discount on our 20 hours per week General English course during 20 weeks of 2015. Email us for more information and to book a discounted course.

We look forward to continuing to welcome clients from around the world for the next 20 years.

Words in the News

Skull’, ‘vertebrae’ and ‘fossils’ were in the news this week. Living some 170 million years ago on the Isle of Skye, a new species of extinct marine reptile has been identified by palaeontologists from the University of Edinburgh.  Another reason to visit Scotland is to see the wonderful ancient landscapes of the country. Get some English reading practice and read the article from the BBC News or The University of Edinburgh .

Keep on studying English and let us have your snippets of news too.
